OUR COMMITMENT TO THE TCG COMMUNITY
Our Mission — Community Before Scalpers
Fair Prices. Fair Access. Players First.
At Cardboard Hangout, we believe trading card games should be enjoyed by everyone, not controlled by those looking to make a quick profit. Our mission is to build a fair, welcoming and thriving trading card community where players and collectors have a genuine opportunity to purchase the products they love.
Our Stand Against Scalping & Arbitrage
We do not support scalping, price gouging or purchasing large quantities of high-demand products solely to resell them at inflated prices. We believe trading card products should reach genuine players and collectors, rather than being bought out to exploit limited supply.
Our Purchase Limit Policy
To protect fair access, Cardboard Hangout may enforce reasonable purchase limits on selected products, particularly new releases, limited editions and high-demand stock. These limits are designed to:
- Prevent individuals from buying out entire allocations.
- Give more customers a fair opportunity to purchase products.
- Discourage scalping and excessive bulk purchasing.
- Support genuine players, collectors and our local community.
Pricing Errors & Corrections
We take care to keep prices accurate, but genuine mistakes can occur. If a product is listed at an incorrect price, we may temporarily withdraw it from sale while we correct the listing. If an order is affected, we will contact the customer promptly to explain the error and the available options. We will not charge a higher price without the customer’s agreement. Where an order can lawfully be cancelled, any payment for cancelled items will be fully refunded. If different prices are displayed for the same item, we will follow Australian Consumer Law, including selling at the lowest displayed price or withdrawing the item from sale until the error is corrected.
Our Promise to the Community
We understand that every collector wants to complete their collection and every player wants access to the cards they need. That's why we will always strive to balance fair pricing, reasonable purchase limits and product availability.
We would rather see 10 different customers enjoying the hobby than one person buying everything just to resell it.
We are not here to reward scalpers. We are here to support the players, collectors and community who make trading card games special. Cardboard Hangout — Built for Players. Supported by Collectors. Driven by Community.
Purchase limits may apply to in-store and online orders. Orders that attempt to circumvent published limits may be reviewed or cancelled in accordance with applicable consumer laws.
